Joseph Blake

Joseph Blake was born August 13, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida to the proud parents, Theresa Worthy and Joseph Brooks McNair. At a young age, he moved to Altamonte Springs, Florida, where he attended Seminole County Public Schools. In 1972, he graduated from Lyman High School in Longwood, Florida. In 1976, he joined the United States Army, where he served until 1979. In 1978, Joseph married the love of his life, Stella Johnson and to this union two beautiful children were born. Joseph built his life in Orlando, Florida, and was well known and loved by many. Desiring to have a business of his own, he started his moving company, Red Carpet Movers. His entrepreneurship enabled him to employ many family and friends in the community. He took pride in donating whatever he could to others and feeding everyone in the community. He loved working at Casselberry Veterans, Inc., where he donated a lot of his time. He was well loved in Altamonte Springs. One of the joys of his life, was running the home store, where he sold frozen cups to the neighborhood children. He also loved working in his front yard and honored when his yard received the "Yard of The Month award''. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted mother Theresa Blake, his beloved father Joseph Brooks McNair and brother Henry Blake. Left to cherish fond memories are: his Children, Tanitria Blake, Altamonte Springs, Florida, Sharda Blake, Houston, Texas and Shantill Hall, Lakeland, Florida; Grandchildren, Isaac Moreno, Ava Parrish, Peyton Parrish, Theresa Squire, Carter Scott, Camryn Scott and Rain Anderson; also left to cherish his memory, Felicia Presely (Dale), Orlando, Florida and Artelia Simpson, Deerfield Beach, Florida; Siblings, Juanita Mongen, Altamonte Springs, Florida, Janice Stewart, Pontiac, Michigan and Elease Ruiz, Altamonte Springs, Florida; Other Siblings, Johnny Coley (Charlene), Australia Blake, Rosemarie Blake, James Blake III, Christine Singleton, Lenzy Blake (Phyllis), Jerome Blake (Barbara), Tyrone Blake, Sylvia Banks (Ray), and Alvin Haggins (Yvonne); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
