James Morris Emanuel, Sr.

James Morris Emanuel, Sr. was born September 30, 1963 in Manhattan, New York to the late Acie Emanuel and Mary Ann Hazley. They moved to Kissimmee, Florida in 1963. James attended and graduated from Osceola High School in 1982. He attended Bethel AME Church during his early childhood, he was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was employed at Mercury Marine in St. Cloud, Florida for many years and was currently working for Rodeway which later changed their name to YRC, Inc., where he worked for the last 30 years as a truck driver. On almost any day that James wasn’t working he was fishing. James taught both of his boys and nephews how to fish and provide for their families. He loved to go to Three Lakes even though the distance to the lake itself was more than 40 miles. James Emanuel was a TRUE FISHERMAN. James was preceded in death by his father, Acie Emanuel and grandmothers, Vernita Oliver and Olena Thompson. He leaves to cherish precious memories to his wife of thirtythree years, Shelly Emanuel; children, Kendra Emanuel-Gainey (Emory) of Dublin, Georgia, Akita Emanuel, James Morris Emanuel, Jr. (Nohely Piedrahita- Special Friend) and Jarell Emanuel of Kissimmee, Florida; mother, Mary Ann Wells; Fatherin-law, Whitfield Barrington (Virginia), Orlando, FL; brothers, Acie Emanuel (Gloria), Kelvin Emanuel; sister, Monique EmanuelDavis (Eddie), of Kissimmee, Florida; adopted sister, Pamela Scott (Rolan) of Haines City, Florida; grandchildren, Tiyya Varnado, Treyven Varnado, Jasier Thomas, James Emanuel III, Alina Emanuel and Jayse Emanuel; two goddaughters: Farnisha Brown and Na’Kyla Wright; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Mascoe, Gale Barrington, both of Kissimmee, Florida, Pamela Barnes (Spencer), Ericka Shae Hayes (Jarod) of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law, Andre Barrington (Wanda) and Stacey Whittington (Virginia), both of Orlando, Florida; uncles: Roosevelt Hazley, Cleveland, Ohio, Morris Hazley, and Clarence Wilson, Kissimmee, Florida, Willie James Hazley (Mary), and Franklin Wilson, Orlando, Florida, John Hazley (Mildred), Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Michael Devoe (Martha), Melbourne, Florida, aunts: Katherine Gibson, Tampa, Florida, Margaret Bowens, Kissimmee, Florida Ruth Keels (Albert), Decatur, Georgia, Shirley Brown (Acie), Kissimmee, Florida; a devoted lifelong friend, Christopher Holmes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
