Sam attended school in Mount Dora, Florida. In 1953, he met the beautiful Addie Lou Babb in Mount Dora, Florida and they were married on December 1, 1954. Sam was employed with the City of Mount Dora for over forty years as a Sanitation Engineer and Supervisor. Sam and Addie were very caring and giving people. Their home was always open to all family members, nieces, nephews, children and close friends for food, shelter, and whatever they needed. Sam was a strong man, good husband, and great father. He never failed to provide for his family and to support his friends. He had a big “caring” heart and he always spoke his mind. Sam would make sure you knew what he was thinking. Sam was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Joe Wiggins and Mrs. Rossi Williams; wife, Mrs. Addie Wiggins, son Mr. Larry Pope Wiggins; daughter, Deborah Ann Cutliff-Smith; grand-daughters, Crystal Wiggins and Ethelene “KeKe” Harrell; sisters, Mrs. Ida M. Hall, Mrs. Novella W. Grier, Mrs. Lilly M. Britt, and Mrs. Mary Lou Rodriguez. Sam leaves to cherish his legacy and memory to his Sister: Ruth Riddle of Philadelphia, PA; Children: Sandra L. Wiggins, Blanche W. Sherman (Aurthar), Henry Joe Wiggins (Daicia), and Sandra Jones; Grandchildren: Dreamer Wiggins, Tiesha Wiggins, Larry P. Wiggins, Jr., Renardo Cutliff, Chinika Hayes, Salo Coward, Alphonso Sanders (Chantell), Jasmine Wiggins, Kayha Wiggins, Bianka Lemon (Martin), Jaleyah (Eric) Wiggins, Damarius Wiggins (Janiece), Timothy Wiggins, Courtney Sherman, Nathaniel Walker (step), Blair Gusmas (step), Jaydia Wiggins, and Journee Wiggins; Daughters-in-law: Lavern Simmons Wiggins and Nereka Wiggins (ex). Nieces and Nephews: Mary T. Britt, Delton Pearson, Joseph Pendleton, Angie Hall, Lorretta McKinzie, Ronnie McTear, Richard McTear, Jacquelyn Jones, Eunice (Frankie) Rollins, Bonita Stamper, Stacey Williams, and a host of other nieces and nephews; Great Grandchildren: Marquise Wiggins, Katron Dakin, Darius Dakin, Darion Dakin, Kyler Williams, Jayvon Jackson, Eric Samuels, Aniya Samuels, Kyzarie, and a host of great grandchildren, other loving relatives and friends.
