Helen Faniel Beasley

Sister Helen P. Faniel Beasley, affectionately known as "Duck" by her amily and dear friends, was born April 22 1934, in Barbour County, Alabama to parents Sam and Annie Lou Faniel. She later met and married the love of her life, James A. Beasley and their marriage lasted fifty (50) wonderful loving years, until his passing. Together, they shared five children and moved to Groveland, Florida, in In her early working days here in Florida, Helen worked for the local Holiday Inn, and in her latter years, she worked and retired from the "Rainbow", a local restaurant where she was a cook. More than anything, Sister Helen loved the Lord. Her love for God was evident as she served Him faithfully and dutifully in her church the First Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland, Florida for many years. She was a mother in the church, providing wisdom and guidance to all who would hear, embracing everyone with her kindness and love. In her pastime, Sister Helen enjoyed gardening, nature, spending quality time with family, sewing, and bringing laughter to others by telling jokes. She also loved making homemade biscuits. Sister Helen was a pioneer in Lake County, she could brighten up a room with her smile. She was also known for being kind, full of laughter, lovable, trustworthy, and full of divine wisdom. She would say, "If you Ain't got nothing good to say, don't say nothing at all". She spent her final days on earth in Fort Pierce, Florida, until the Lord saw fit to call her home. Sister Helen P. Like others who have gone before her, she has laid down her head to pleasant dreams and eternal rest, May 10th, 2025 @ 8:23 PM. Sister Helen P. Faniel Beasley was preceded in death by her father, Sam Faniel; mother, Annie Lou Faniel; husband of 50 years, James A. Beasley; and sisters, Betty Lou Graham and Lealer Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: James E. Beasley (Mae Frances) of Groveland, Florida, Deborah, Guice of Groveland, Florida, Elouise Carty (Cornelius) of Fort Pierce, Eva Mae Simmons (John) of Groveland, Florida and Ronald Levoun Beasley, Sr. (Princess) of Ocala, Florida; siblings: Samual Faniel (Mary) of Clayton, Alabama, Collis Faniel (Lillie) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Jessie Faniel of Montgomery, Alabama, Albert Faniel (Julie) of Ocala, Florida, Annie Mearl Simmons of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Willie Mae Baker (Roy) of Louisville, Alabama; sisters-in-law: Lonnie Mae Beasley, Inez Beasley, both of Clayton, Alabama, sisters-in-law: Lonnie Mae Beasley, Inez Beasley, both of Clayton, Alabama, and Vernetta Beasley of Groveland, Florida; brother-in-law, Willie Beasley (Doris) of Clayton, Alabama; bonus children: Belinda Newton (Eugene) of Fort Pierce, Florida, Cynthia Lacy of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Walter Miller of Fort Pierce, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends
