Gregoire Innocent

Gregoire Innocent was born on August 13, 1960, in La Gonave, Haiti to Solon Innocent and Nazelie Lundi Innocent. As a child, being with his family brought him so much joy. He loved to swim and spend all of his time at the beaches in Haiti. Gregoire attended and received his high school diploma at International High School in La Gonave, Haiti. Upon graduating from high school, he was the first of his siblings to come to the United States. At the age of 17 on June 24, 1978, he settled in Eustis, Florida. He received his associate degree at Lake Sumter State College. After graduating, he worked at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 12 years. This is where he met the love of his life, Lillian Austin-Innocent. They were united in Holy Matrimony on June 8, 1985. After devoting his time at the church, Gregorie found his passion in transportation. He started out working for a taxi company in the early 90’s, which lasted for about a decade. Soon after, he started his own Transportation Company, he named it Innocent Star Transportation. Gregorie was a kind and compassionate man. The love and heart that Gregorie had for his family was unimaginable. He was protective of his family and quick to defend any of them in any situation. Gregoire loved martial arts. He held a black belt and was certified to teach Karate. He also loved tending to his beautiful garden. Many would say he had a green thumb. Gregorie loved sports. He was a die-hard soccer fan and his favorite team was Brazil. He was also a loyal Orlando Magic fan. On the evening of December 26, 2022, The Lord saw fit to call Gregorie peacefully of natural causes, to his eternal resting place. Although he departed from us, his impact on our hearts and lives will never fade. He will always be remembered as the greatest father, the protective grandfather, the favorite brother, the coolest uncle, the loving cousin, and the loyal friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Innocent, mother: Nazelie Lundi Innocent; father: Solon Innocent; sisters: Macula Innocent, Sonia Innocent and Roseline Innocent; brothers: Lemouin Innocent, Clotes Innocent, Wilner Innocent and Denounce Innocent. Gregoire leaves to cherish precious memories to: his children: daughters: Sara Innocent, Christie Innocent, Guirlene Innocent and Sendie Innocent: son: Lucbaia Innocent; grandsons: Cory Christian, Jr., Julyvens Andre, Waquigno Andre, Livems Guerby Joseph, Guerry and Vandensky Joseph; granddaughter: Guerlandie Joseph; siblings: sisters: Marie Hilaire, Preserve Innocent, Benitha Innocent, Lucienne Innocent and Lucien Innocent; brother: Deliverance Cheri; he also leaves behind twenty-five nieces and nephews; fourteen great nieces and nephews; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and good friends.
