Mrs. Glinda Ann Love-Howard

Glinda Ann Love-Howard who was affectionately known as “Glin” was born on June 2, 1956 in Damascus, Georgia. She was the daughter of Sam and Janie Love. She relocated to Orlando, FL in 1965 where she attended the Public Schools of Orange County. By the time she graduated from Wymore Technical School in 1974, she was skilled in sewing. However, she held various employment in the area of telecommunication which began while she worked for the Republican Party of Florida during the mid to late 1980’s which then prepared her for a career with the Orlando Sentinel from 1992 to 2006. She briefly entered the work of retail where she operated a clothing kiosk in the J-Mart store. Afterwards, she transitioned her interest to the caring of people which she became certified to open a day care center, but she instead decided her calling was in private duty home healthcare which was her final occupation before her earthly transition. At the age of 32, Glinda accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and began to serve Him faithfully whether it was ministering to people, fellowshipping with various churches, or being a mentor to children. Also, she was well known for the love of praise dancing, singing, speaking at various church events and her often flashy style of clothing she wore. Her love for Jesus manifested itself in the love for her family and her friends. Throughout her life she was a woman of faith, strength, and courage which gave reason for her favorite bible verse (Psalms 91). Glinda was a member of Majestic Life Church which she served under Pastor Riva Tims; however, she became an adopted member of 910 West Livingston Street Church of God by Reverend Timothy McGahee and his wife which served with her Godmother Seleda Martin until her health declined. The Lord called Glinda home to be with him on January 31, 2017 which has forever left us with a broken heart, but God’s grace and mercy will strengthen us to heal in time. Glinda was preceded in death by her father, Sam Love (2013) and her brother, Ronald Love (1983). Glinda leaves to cherish precious memories to: her children Shanod Love and Tiffany Jones; a loving devoted mother: Janie Love; three grandchildren: Aliyah, Samiyah, and Jordan; a loyal and faithful sister: Marcia White (Ronney); brothers: Horace Love, Roger Love (Geraldine), Lemorris Love, and Donald Love (Laura); and husband: Alfonzo Howard, aunts: Carrie Hudson, Peacola Lawrence, Willie Mae Currie (Ernest), and Dorothy Knowles (James); god mother: Seleda Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, devoted family, and two friends who were as close to her as a sister: Brenda Mendez and Wanda Nathan.
