Frederick Douglas Glover

Frederick Douglas Glover was born November 28, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to Deacon William P. Glover and Evangelist Elois Glover. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age and reared within the denomination of The Church of God in Christ. In the early 1990’s he began following the Non-Denominational Doctrine. Fred was educated in Michigan public schools and enrolled in post-secondary studies at Mott College. After graduating from Mott, Fred took great pride in following in his father’s footsteps working for General Motors Division in Flint Michigan. He had a knack to learn about computers, he was gifted and later learned and perfected the Cobol Language. In March 1976, he migrated to Orlando, Florida where he began his own computer business. Fred earned a Master’s in Business Administration which motivated him to later earn his PhD in Philosophy in Computer Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude on June 12, 2009. In his young adulthood years, it was apparent that he had exceptional athletic abilities; Fred played football, he was an excellent swimmer, and indulged in boxing that took him to the tryouts for the Golden Gloves Championship. Fred was also no stranger to the game of chess, he was known to many as the chess guru, he later implemented a chess game app for smart phones. On the golf course, Fred was a passionate and avid golfer, where he felt most at home. Fred was born with gifted hands and talented with a paint brush and became a self-taught artist. Fred also enjoyed playing the drums as a past time and loved all genres of music. February 9, 2001, he married the love of his life, Mary Diane Mills (Glover) who sung like a hummingbird capturing Fred’s heart. Fred was blessed to have two beautiful daughters who he adored, Malika and Malina Glover and a proud grandfather of Kato Johnson. Fred was preceded in death by his parents Deacon William P. Glover and Evangelist Elois Glover; three brothers, Robert L. Glover, Preston Glover, and Stanley D. Glover; one brother-in-law, Steve Tolbert; one nephew, Cedrick D. Glover; mother-in-law, Hazel Butler Mills. Fred leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted spouse, Mary Diane Glover, Altamonte Springs, Florida; two daughters, Malika D. Glover and Malina R. Glover, both of Altamonte Springs, Florida; two sisters and four sister-in-laws, Earlene Brice (Steve Tolbert) of Apopka, Florida, DaJuana (Pinklon) Glover-Thomas of Orlando, Florida, Hattie Delores Barber of Orlando, Florida, Priscilla Whitney of St. Petersburg, Florida, Brenda Barns of Clermont, Florida, Linda Butler of Orlando, Florida; one brother and two brother-in-laws, Bishop Claude (Bruna) James of Minnesota, Daniel Mills (Aliceson) of Orlando, Florida, David Mills Jr. of Windermere, Florida; one grandson, Kato A. Johnson; a devoted cousin, Frank Haralson of Mt. Morris, Michigan; and a host of other close friends and relatives.
