Faudora L. Donovan

Faudora Lettsome was born on October 15, 1933, in Long Look, Tortola British Virgin Islands to Cadmus Lettsome and Catherine Crabbe Lettsome. Faudora was a loving daughter and was a great support to them working the family land. She was raised with nine other siblings. Faudora was affectionally called "Fair" by her children, nieces and nephews and grandmother by her grandkids. She taught her children to work hard and be honest and to always tell the truth. Fair loved children and was a babysitter for many years which included her grandsons, nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother and father to her children and others. Fair immigrated to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands in 1970. Prior to this time Fair would leave her small children with her mother and travel to St. Thomas to stay and work for 29 days at a time. Even though the separation was traumatic we knew in our hearts she did the best she could at that time. Fair immigrated to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands in 1970. Fair rarely smiled but the smiles she gave was an inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to be on the receiving end. She enjoyed going to all night prayer meetings and singing beautiful hymns with family and friends. We enjoyed the talks we had about her growing up and the family history. She was a great cook and baker. She always made sure we had a hot meal. She made the best pea soup in the world. She also iron clothes for a living and made straw hats. In later years Fair lived with her daughter in Georgia and helped to raise her grandson and granddaughter, she was a great support. Fair was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Cadmus and Catherine Lettsome, her husband, Glanville Donovan and her son Andrew Donovan. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, Sons, Roylee Lettsome of Long Look, Tortola, Frederick Lettsome of Apopka, FL; Daughters, Elsena Lettsome of Marietta, GA, Patricia Hughes of Apopka, FL; Brother, Calmus Lettsome of Long Look, Tortola; Daughter-in-law, Bernice Lettsome of Apopka, FL; Grandsons, Dervin Stoutt of Long Look, Tortola, Orvin Lettsome of La Vergne, TN, Mervin Lettsome of Hampton, GA, Benjamin Hughes of Apopka, FL; Granddaughters, Kya Muckle of Gwinnett, GA, Biankha Hughes of Apopka, FL; 8 Great-grandchildren; Special Nieces, Mable Frett, Eunice Fleming, Ann Lee Wheatley, Francelia Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
