Mrs. Ellen Suzette Henry

“Close the Book, But Remember My Story.” Ellen Suzette was born on July 3, 1956 in Winter Garden, Florida to J. P. Wilson and Lena Mae Kegler Wilson. She was raised in a loving home with her seven brothers and sisters. She was affectionately called “Big Duke, Duke and later Headache” because little brother Ike could not say Suzette. She was the “entertainer” of the family, always dancing, singing and telling jokes. From Suzette’s early childhood she developed the love of reading and writing poetry. In addition to poetry she wrote scripts for skits and performed at family gatherings and at school. She excelled in every aspect of her education and graduated from Ocoee High School in 1979. The writing continued throughout her adulthood, as she wrote poems for birthdays, special occasions and funeral services. Suzette accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age and acknowledged His presence in her life until the very end. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengthened me. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Although she did not have children of her own she ruled all children with a no-nonsense attitude. Her family and friends were very dear to her heart. Christmas and her birthday were highlights of the year. Suzette acquired cooking skills from her dad. She was employed by Olive Garden and the Swan Hotel at Walt Disney World. Even with her disability she was an excellent cook, specializing in Caribbean Cuisine and assorted salads. Suzette’s laughter, love and zest for life will remain in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Lena Wilson and siblings Marion Yvonne and Robert (Rober’e). On Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 10:35 PM, Ellen Suzette’s earthly journey came to an end as she transitioned from life to death. Jesus whispered softly saying, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 She leaves precious memories with her family: three brothers: Arthur Sweptson (Vicki) Orlando, FL; Reginald Sweeting (Jacqueline) Winter Garden, FL; Isaac Wilson, Orlando, FL; two sisters: Kathy Taylor (Ronald) Ocoee, FL; Sheila Wilson, Orlando, FL; great aunt: Sally Lofton, Winter Garden, FL; Many Saddened nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
