Presiding Elder Sallie Mae Jackson

A TIME TO BE BORN Presiding Elder Sallie Jackson was born February 15, 1947 in Branchville, South Carolina to the late Harriett Brothers and Daniel Moorer, Sr. A TIME TO LIVE AND WORK Sallie attended Phyllis Wheatley (Orange County Public School), “The Class Of 1965.” Sallie demonstrated great skills and work ethics as a Quality Control Specialist at General Electric. She retired as a Horticulturist at Trifold Plant Lab. Above all this, Sallie gained perfection as a loving Homemaker. A TIME TO LOVE Elder Sallie was united in Holy Matrimony to the Late Noah Jackson Jr on April 27, 1964, to this union seven children were born. A TIME TO SERVE Elder Sallie was a true child of God whom served God with her whole heart. She was a born-again Saint and really loved praising the Lord. She was a loyal and faithful member of The Community Holy Temple for 46 years. Elder Sallie Jackson was very committed and active during the entirety of her membership. During her lifetime in membership she served as; Church Secretary, Missionary, a devoted Sunday school teacher of the “School of Wisdom and ordained as a Presiding Elder by the late Bishop Earlene Wagner. In 2012, she presided alongside Pastor Henry Lee Bolden and Pastor Carolyn Glenn. Sallie was the Founder of the Wednesday Noon-Day Prayer and The Jackson Sisters Gospel Group. Any and everybody that knew Elder Sallie can attest to the fact that she continued to serve God throughout her life by loving-on and caring for others. She diligently helped everyone she could. She was a sacrificial giver. She was very passionate about providing resources to help anyone along the way. She would always inspire others by making sure to serve them with the Daily Bread devotional book. She has touched many lives by interceding in prayer no matter what time or day. Sallie was a phenomenal woman of God who was indeed the pillar and “Queen” of the family. She loved her family immensely and took pride in every one of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her posterity meant everything to her and she showed this through her actions daily. Elder Sallie was an inspiration to others. She was passionate about telling others about the goodness of the Lord. For many years, Elder Sallie was the Parliamentarian of the Plymouth Improvement Association and the Advanced Seniors of Plymouth- Chaplain and member of the Inspirational Committee. A TIME TO ENJOY Elder Sallie was a fashionista, she loved dressing-up, and her style was incredible. She was an awesome seamstress. She loved to make outfits for her children, grandchildren and Most of all; she loved designing dresses for herself. She also enjoyed shopping, baking bread pudding and sharing it with her family and friends. Elder Sallie’s pastime favorites were, watching Joyce Myers and Joel Olsten, the Orlando Magic games, Sanford & Son, and Steve Harvey but, her all-time favorite was watching David Muir every evening at 6:30pm. A TIME TO REST Presiding Elder Sallie Jackson, on Thursday, January 19, 2023 was called home to be with the lord after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Noah Jackson, Jr.; Father, Daniel Moorer, Sr.; Mother, Harriet Brothers; Brothers: George Keller, Jr., Daniel Moorer, Jr.; Sister, Mammie Jackson; and Son, Christopher Jackson. Left to cherish her memory are her Children: Valorie Jackson of Apopka, Florida, Andrea Jackson of Plymouth, Florida, Marlene Jackson-Dubose (John) of Apopka, Florida, Latasha Woods (Navin) of Brunswick, Georgia, Cassandra Richardson (Quinton) of Orlando, Florida, Noah Jackson, III of Palm Bay, Florida, and Cornelius Jackson of Plymouth, Florida; Brothers: Anthony Keller and Norman Brothers; Sisters: Betty McKnight, Sadie Norris, Hattie McEachern, Evelyn Brothers, and Naomi Brothers; 12 Grandchildren: Shalonda, Veresha, Tamela, Diana, Jazmine, Nataysha, Mariah, Kayla, Corderal, Jonathan, Tramar, and Nathan; 12 Great Grandchildren; Special Nephews, Antonio Smith and Ransom Tatum; a Devoted Cousin, Pastor Eulla Bolden; Godson, Robert Osbey, Jr.; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
