Morse Jr., a beacon of light in our community, we celebrate the remarkable life he lived. Donald's journey began in Apopka, Florida, as he was born on May 26, 1967, to Donald L. Morse, Sr. and Francina Boykin. He attended Apopka High School, where he graduated in 1985. Fueling his thirst for knowledge, he continued his education at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) and Valencia Community College. However, his unwavering passion for the electrical trade ultimately led him to Westside Vocational School in Winter Garden, Florida, where he honed his skills and embarked on a transformative path. Donald's expertise in the electrical field opened doors to prestigious oppor- tunities, working with renowned companies throughout the Greater Orlando area. Driven by a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit, he fearlessly founded his own company, DEMCO Electrical, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and communities in which he served. Donald used his vast knowledge to become a mentor and source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and electricians throughout the Central Florida area. Donald's true legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. Fueled by an unwavering commitment to community and family, he sought to make a tangible difference in the lives of those around him. Donald selflessly shared his resources, collaborating with various organizations and spearheading community projects. As Vice President of the Men of the Community Making a Difference Initiative, he dedicated countless hours to uplift and empower others. His dedication also extended to serving as a committee member of the Lake Jewel Fun Day, a testament to his passion for fostering joy and unity within the community. Donald's generosity knew no bounds, as he provided unwavering support to initiatives such as the Playing for Jesus Flag Football League, Black Chicks Rock Mentoring Program, Ocoee High School Baseball Facility Improvement, and the Phillis Wheatley PTA. His sponsorship and involvement in numerous organizations throughout the Apopka area solidified his position as a pillar of strength and compassion. A man of many hats and ventures, Donald's guiding motto, "Never Give Up," echoed through his actions, inspiring all who crossed his path. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was casting a line while fishing, cruising on his boat, feeling the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, or indulging his passion for cooking while listening to old-school music, Donald embraced every moment with enthusiasm and zest. Donald’s loyal support as a Miami Hurricanes fan and love for his family and community were testaments to the values he held dear. May his legacy continue to inspire us all to find our purpose, embrace our passions, uplift one another, and never lose sight of our power to make a difference. Rest in peace, Donald! Your spirit and presence on this earth have made a remarkable difference in this world and will forever be cherished and remembered! Donald transitioned to his final resting place on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his Father, Donald L. Morse, Sr., and Sisters: Cassandra Hannah and Tanisha L. Roebuck. He leaves to continue his legacy his loving Mother, Francina Boykin; loving Grandmother, Dorothy Boykin; Children: Calvin Hayes (Kindall), Kayla Morse Higgs (Walter), Shederrick Davenport, Donald Morse, Jr., and Monteryl Jones; Grandchildren: Kyro Davenport, Yalanna Morse, Khari Davenport, and Jordan Hayes; Special Loved One: Carmen Nichols; Siblings: Lecia Banks, Tericka Adair (Rob), Serita Cotton (Kevin), Sirlord Rynell Morse (Shana); and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
