Donald ''Buddy Lue'' Fleming, Jr.

Donald Fleming (affectionately called “Buddy Lou”) was born June 28, 1967, to Ruby Mae Brown and Robert Peterson in Orlando, Florida. He attended West Orange High School, where he dominated the sport of wrestling for a year before graduating in 1986. There is a common expression that states: “Someone can be a “Jack of all trades but master of none.” However, that was not the case for Donald. He was truly a “Jack of ALL trades and master of many!” He was most proud of becoming a Concrete Finisher. Anyone who had the pleasure of riding in the car with him knows that he wouldn’t hesitate to say “You see that over there? I did that!” He was so good at what he did, that companies sought him out no matter where he was just to do the job. If you needed your car fixed, call Bud. If you needed your remote control fixed, call Bud. If you needed your bike fixed, call Bud. If you needed your yard done, call Bud. If you needed a tree cut down, call Bud. If you needed your hair cut, call Bud. If you needed a plumber, call Bud. If you needed your floor installed, call Bud. If you needed some carpentry done, call Bud. If you needed a painter, call Bud; and if you needed drywall done, you could call Bud. There was nothing that he wouldn’t tackle or figure out with the aid of God, his cellphone, Google, and YouTube. He was a Legendary, “Mr. Fix It”. Donald was a humble, caring, gentle humanitarian that would do anything within his will to help. Donald was a man who loved God and chose to show that love in his own way. He would blast gospel music on Sunday mornings and in that moment time would stand still, everyone would gather, he would sing and do what he needed to do to assure folks that God was real and loved them no matter what. Donald strongly believed in the power of prayer and that “King Jesus was his doctor,” and he stood firm on that belief. As we remember our beloved Donald, let’s also remember to: lean not to our own understanding, but seek God in all that we do and He will direct our path. It is up to us to prepare ourselves on this side, in order for us to meet together again on the other shore. Donald Fleming was preceded in death by his father Robert Peterson, sister, Linda Kemp; sister, Maria Brown Adams; brother, Ronnie Brown. Donald “Buddy Lou” Fleming will be eternally missed, but his memories and legacy will be cherished by his Mother, Ruby Mae Brown; Father, Aurelius Brown; Sons: Lavone Cobb, Donald Fleming III, Dominick Fleming, Donelle Fleming, Daughter, Darshele Donnette Fleming; Granddaughters: Amaré Fleming, Gabriella Fleming, Tarionna Selwood, Grandsons: Dominic Selwood, Jahmeel Selwood; Brothers: Robert Peterson, Perry Brown, Marcus Brown; Sisters: Charlene Harris (Garland), Chandra Connerton (Jon), Queen Lewis, Aurelia Brown; Godsister, Onita Pollard (Tommy) a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and sorrowing friends.
