Diana Elizabeth Flowers

Diana Elizabeth Flowers was born on December 12, 1952 in Lawtey, Florida to parents, Melvin Jenkins, Sr. and Martha Jenkins. She was the second child of twelve children and the eldest of the daughters. She attended Osceola County Public Schools. Given her place in the family’s lineage, she became a natural protector and provider for her younger siblings. Diana was a loving, humble, and giving person. Her gentle spirit made her easy to get along with and she always saw the best in others, treating everyone with love and acceptance. Diana had an eye for decor and took great pride in decorating her home. Diana devoted her life to caring for family. She was a loving and devoted mother, supporting her children in every way. She was also instrumental in helping to raise her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren with the same love, discipline and care as she did with her own children. She was a hard worker. She was employed at the Tupperware Center in Orlando, Florida for many, many years until her retirement due to declining health. Diana was preceded in death by her Husband, Herman Flowers; Father, Melvin Jenkins, Sr.; Mother, Martha Jenkins; Sisters: Linda Smith and Debra Jenkins; Brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Flowers, Johnell Flowers, and Greg Flowers. Left to cherish her memory, her Children: Lashay Flowers-Bell of Orlando, Florida and Hassan Flowers (Marisabel) of Orlando, Florida; Siblings: James Jenkins (Shelby) of Kissimmee, Florida, Rosalyn Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida, Pastor Melvin Jenkins, Jr. (Michelle) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, George Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida, Barbara Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida, Carol Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida, Cynthia Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida; Ruth Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida, and Lemuel Jenkins of Kissimmee, Florida; Brothers-in-law: Curtis Smith, Deacon Tommy Lee Flowers, both of Kissimmee, Florida; Sisters-in-love: Rosemarie Thomas and Kathy Covington; Grandchildren: Taneesha Tillman (Elijah) of Orlando, Florida, Shamarie Flowers (Ebony) of Kissimmee, Florida, Jalen Flowers (Precious) of Orlando, Florida, Joshua Flowers of Orlando, Florida, and Anissa Flowers of Orlando, Florida; GreatGrandchildren: Kamarriah, Elijah, Jr., Eliyas, Zamiyah, Sa’Marie, Zendayiah, De’lilah, Ma’Lani, Deleonte, Kyng, Ja’Mari, and Josiah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
