Craig Anthony Hatcher

Craig Anthony Hatcher was the 1st born in a siblingship of nine children. He attended school in Lake County and graduated in 1974 from Leesburg High School. He worked 48 years at Hawthorne Retirement Community in Leesburg, FL as a Landscape Specialist. Craig was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church, Oviedo, Florida at an early age, and later attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Orange Bend, Florida. He later joined St. Luke Independent Free Methodist Church, Orange Bend, Florida, under the Leadership of Pastor Nathaniel James, where he would often serve in the music ministry. Craig developed a love for music and sound in his early twenties and became well known throughout Central Florida, as “DJ Craig”. He entertained at family and class reunions, parties, weddings, church, and other social gatherings. He was very skilled with his craft in music. He always played the latest hits but loved the “oldies”. Craig was also passionate about riding motorcycles and was a part of various motor-cycle clubs. He was a lover of people. He loved to cook delicious meals and host social gatherings. He was best known for hosting the Mikell Family Mother’s Day Annual Cookout, for over 20 years. He was proceeded in death by his father, Emanuel Goodman, stepfather, Thomas J. Mikell, Sr. and sister, Sharmin Petrice Davis. West (Niurka), Orlando, FL; Corey Goodman, Orlando, FL; Stepsister, Brenda Boswell (Eddie), Atlanta Georgia, a loving and devoted Daughter, Kenosha Quinette Hatcher of Leesburg, FL and 2 Sons; Darius Rolle and Tommekete Livingston; two Granddaughters: Jada and Quintavia Harris; and one Great Granddaughter, Zahra Harris; and one Aunt, Sadie Green, Estill, SC; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
