Mr. Christopher Columbus Culver

A Time to Be Born: Christopher was born on September 10, 1952, in Elba, Alabama to Willie Fred and Eunice Culver. A Time to Learn and Prosper: Christopher attended Mulberry Heights Colored School and was employed at the paper mill in Panama City, Florida for many years. After leaving the paper mill Christopher enjoyed being a “Jack of all Trades” and a master of them all; at home, in the community and at church. A Time to Love: Christopher was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah A. McLoid-Culver. A Time to Serve the Lord: Christopher was a faithful member of Carter Temple First Born Church of the Living God. He enjoyed working in God’s Kingdom and was the “Traffic Controller” in the parking lot. A Time to Be a Father and Grandfather: Christopher loved his daughter, Maquita Culver and his darling grandsons, Rodney and Tymain. A Time to Transition: On Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:58 p.m.; God called Christopher home to his eternal resting place. He ceased his pain, claimed his spirit and allowed him to transition peacefully at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida with his loving wife Deborah at his side. Christopher was proceeded in death by his parents, Willie Fred and Eunice Culver, his brothers; Ray Culver, Willie O. Culver and Foy Culver. Time to Celebrate His Legacy: Christopher leaves to carry on his legacy: Wife, Deborah A. McLoid-Culver of Apopka, Florida. Daughter, Marquita Culver of Wewahitchka, Florida; Special Daughter, Whittany Barnes of Wewahitchka, Florida; Grandsons, Rodney and Tymain Hatcher of Wewahitchka, Florida; Special Granddaughter, Trakayah Woullard of Wewahitchka, Florida; Stepdaughter, Brittany A. Jackson of Tampa, Florida; Brothers, Terry Culver of Elba, Alabama, Jerry Culver (Diane) of Enterprise, Alabama, Johnny Fred Culver of Elba, Alabama and Gene Culver of Elba, Alabama; Sisters: Scedell Culver of Queens, New York; Bernice Culver of Elba, Alabama, Eva Ann Culver of Elba, Alabama, Ruth Culver-Ford (Cliffton) of Yonkers, New York and Janice Culver-Cole ( Danny) of Elba, Alabama. Brother-in-Law, Joe L. McLoid (Mabel) of Medina, New York; Sisters-in-Law, Ruby N. Jones of Winter Garden, Florida, Adrinne Birdsong (Robert) of Winter Garden, Florida; Special Nieces, Joanne Culver of Troy, Alabama, Renee Champion of Orlando, Florida, Ernestine Jones and Ashley Jones of Winter Garden, Florida; Special Nephew, Michael Jones (Taryn) of Little Elm, Texas. Special God-Sister: Rose Mcoy-Thomas (Stelbert) of Apalachicola, Florida; God-Daughter, Tamara Birdsong of Winter Garden, Florida. He also leaves to cherish his memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
