Christine Grimes Paul

Christine Grimes Paul was born July 24, 1952 to Marvin and Arrie Mae Grimes, in Cocoa Florida. She attended Brevard and Orange Counties public schools. She also had some training in nursing. She was introduced to the Lord Jesus at Salvation Healing and Miracle Center of Cocoa Florida under the leadership of Dr. Lurline and Jimmie Lee Smith. Dr. Smith served as her counselor throughout her life. She lived most of her adult life between Broward and Orange Counties. She visited different ministries, including Family Ministries but at her departure, she was a member of Truth Deliverance Center of Jesus, Orlando, Florida, under the Leadership of Bishop Eddie B. Mitchell Jr. She was an active participant on the DMI Prayerline established by Apostle Chauncy Craig. She never ceased to call in requesting prayers for her children, grands, loved ones or friends. Sadly, she made her last call on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 thanking God for her life. Her health started to decline in what we consider to be early adulthood but grew increasingly worse over the years. Nonetheless, no matter the hardship, she provided a home for her children. She had amazing homemaking skills, especially in housekeeping and cooking. She loved cooking and baking, She was an extraordinary baker that was sought out for her savory dishes and baked goods. She made the biggest cookies and the most scrumptious cakes and deep dish pies. She would always say “I like for my pies to look like those in the restaurant.” You could always expect a box of her big cookies in the mail for your birthday or just because. She loved life, laughter and having fun, whenever she was around, there was always lots of laughter. She departed this life peaceably on Friday, February 8, 2019 and will be sorely missed. Three siblings preceded her in death, Geraldine Grimes, Marvin Grimes Jr. and one step brother, Willie Clyde Swanson. She leaves to cherish her memories, six children, Patricia Chisolm, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Alonzo Kenon Jr. (Denise) Orlando, Florida, Christopher Kenon, Cocoa, Florida, Stacy Kenon, Ocala, Florida, Gabriel Kenon, Columbia, Florida, Shonte Kenon, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; nine siblings, Joanne Kimbrough (Willie Jeff) Rockledge, Florida, Anne Fleming (Eugene) Radcliff, Kentucky Yord, Clifford Grimes (Ida) Titusville, Florida, Eddie Grimes (Jaqueline) Vine Grove, Kentucky, Brenda Tate (John) Cocoa, Florida, Lee Norris Grimes (Shannon) Rockledge, Florida, Jasper Grimes, Rockledge, Florida, James Swanson (Teniesha) Daytona Beach, Florida; one step brother, Bennie Swanson, St. Petersburg, Florida; Thirteen grandchildren, two great grands, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; Honorable Mentioned: exhusband and lifelong friend, Alonzo Kenon, Ruby Swanson, Harriet Grimes, Juanita Torrence; close friend and confidant; Special nephew, Lenny Gaulden; two special nieces, Audrey Gaulden and
