Charles Castle, Jr.

Charles Castle, Jr. was born on September 28, 1949 in Bradenton, Florida to parents, Charles Castle, Sr. and Ernestine Sesler. He graduated from Mills High School in Webster, Florida in 1967. Charles later met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Peat Castle. This union produced three wonderful sons. He enjoyed a 44 year career working for SECO (Sumter Electric Cooperation). He advanced throughout the company to the role of District Superintendent until retiring. Upon retirement, Charles became a world traveler visiting places like Bermuda, the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls and Alaska. He also devoted much time to becoming an expert fisherman in his own right. Service to others was important to Charles. He not only served his family as a father and husband, but he served his country by joining the US Army. He also served his community through many years of active support and service. Charles was a Vietnam War Veteran (Armored Calvary Infantry E4 Specialist) Instrumental in establishing Lincoln Park in Bushnell, Florida. Active Member of the Bushnell Men’s Club and Board of Codes and Compliance. Avid supporter of the South Sumter Football Team and an Expert fishermen. He is preceded in death by his mother: Ernestine Sesler; brother: Paul Sesler; sisters: Paulette Sesler, Sallie Jackson and Linda Jones. He is survived by the following loved ones… Wife of 50 years: Dorothy Castle of Bushnell, Florida; Sons: Charles Castle, III (Sheila) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Bernard Castle (Ebony) of Bushnell, Florida and Christopher Castle, Sr. of Hampton Virginia; Godson: Matthew Simmons, Jr. of Bushnell, Florida; Siblings: Daniel “Derral” Hart (Carolyn) of Bushnell, Florida, Marshall Sesler (Cynthia) of Webster, Florida, Mitchell Sesler of Gainesville, Florida and Kimberly Sesler of Punta Gorda, Florida; brothers-in-law: Jimmie Earl Peat of St. Petersburg, Florida and Gregory Jones of Bainbridge, Georgia; 5 grandchildren: Christopher Castle, Jr of Ocala, Florida, Amari and Isaiah Castle, both of St. Petersburg, Florida, Amiyah Castle of Orlando, Florida and Andreya Grant of Bushnell, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
