Carline Posinel Slue

Carline Posinel Slue, was born March 4, 1951 to the late Donald George Slue and Joyce Verena Slue, Kingston, Jamaica West Indies. She was affectionately called "Cutie" by her family and close friends, a name given to her by her late aunt, Ina Solomon, because she was such a cute baby. Carline migrated to the United States when she was 17 years old, and attended George Wingate High School in Brooklyn, New York. When she was 19, she married Barrington Brown whom she met in Jamaica, and from this union was born Diane, Barrington, Jr. and Stephen, whom besides God were life's joy. When she was 14 years old, she gave her heart to the Lord and often would tell a story of how she and her dear cousin Audrey prayed together desiring to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and she was filled, speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gave utterance. As life progressed, she drifted away but returned to the Lord at age 25, with her children in tow, bringing them to every church service she attended at the Road to Life Deliverance Church in Brooklyn, New York, and she rarely ever missed one. There she met a household of believers whom she called friends that she kept for most of her lifetime, including her beloved and departed, Mother Mabel Brown. She enjoyed singing on the choir and attending the youth services. Carline led devotionals at home regularly with her children, teaching them to pray, and to read and study the Bible, having them take turns explaining what they read. Each morning, she would gather them at the front door and pray over them before they left for school. Carline made friends easily. She once met a man that was in a diminished state, due to grief. She attended to and cared for him until he passed away. She loved to dance. She enjoyed dressing up and looking beautiful, and beautiful she was. Brown, Jr. (Deirdre) Mount Holly, New Jersey, Stephen Brown, Orlando, New Jersey. Brothers: Junior Peart (Lesline), Bloomfield, NJ, Courtney Slue, Irvington, NJ, Norris Slue, NJ, Bobby Cunningham, West Palm Beach, FL; Deceased: Carson Slue. Sister: Velma Slue. Grandchildren: Miracle Brown, Melody Brown. A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Great-nieces, Great-nephews, and friends.
