Artis C. Hutchins

Artis Cecil Hutchins, Jr. was born and raised in Dania Beach, Florida. He was the eldest child of his father, Artis Cecil Hutchins, Sr., and his mother, Karrie Lee King. Artis attended Collins Elementary in Dania Beach, Florida, and was educated in the Broward County Public School System. In his early 30's, Artis relocated to Mt Dora, Florida, where he settled and made it his home. In 1990, he became a member of the International Masons and Eastern Star organizations. Artis worked at Dura Stress and then later retired from Finfrock due to having a liver transplant. He did not let that stop him. In 1999, Artis obtained his general contractor license and went on to start his. With admirable resilience, in 2022, Artis returned to school and attended Lake Technical College, were he earned his diploma and graduated with an associate's degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality. Being a true entrepreneur, Artis started "Mr. Sonny's Seafood & Meats", LIC in 2023. Artis' hobbies were fishing, cooking, and working on cars. He was a “jack of all trades" and will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Artis Cecil Hutchins, Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and transitioned into his eternal resting place. He was preceded in death by his father, Artis Cecil Hutchins, Sr.; mother, and grandson, Keenan Brooksher: Andrew Murphy, Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Annette Dixon of Mt. Dora, Florida; His loving children...sons: Dennard Hutchinson, Sr. (rinisha) of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Keona Hutchins of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Dominique Wynn of Mt. Dora, Florida; daughters: Sheena Scott of Mt. Dora, Florida, Marshanique Kelly of Wildwood, Florida, and Amina Dixon of Mt. Dora, Florida; Hutchinson, Dreu Hutchinson, Courtney Hutchinson, Monica Hutchinson, Brandon Balom, Dennard C. Hutchinson, Jr., Jessica Williams, Fred Howard, Anthony Howard, Michael Wynn, Cheniyah Martin, Amiyah Copeland, Keion Copeland, Jaayna Hutchins, Jalayah Wilkins, and Karvyn Hutchins; great-grandchildren: Ezekiel Teague, Kreation ohnsin Ali Howard Ayin Howard, aja, Hard, Cann Wynn, Kayden Wynn, Jayceon Wynn, Chanel Wilson, Anyliah Wynn, and Masiah Wynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
