Pastor Arthur Robert Ballard

Pastor Arthur Robert Ballard was born on October 5, 1942 and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arthur was born to Robert and Virginia Ballard. Arthur accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age while a member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began to work faithfully in the church ministry at a young age as Second Pilgrim Baptist Church’s Youth Choir and Piano Player. In 1966 Arthur and Sarah Bailey Ballard were united in marriage in Mobile, Alabama. Arthur was a veteran of the United States Air Force, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Rollins College, worked at the Kennedy Space Center as an Engineer and taught at Seminole State College. His hobby was Scuba Diving in the Caribbean. Before pastoring, he was a Street Preacher in various cities in Florida. He later pastored churches in Titusville, Sanford and Apopka, all of COGBF. He helped to establish and became the Pastor of Living Waters Community Fellowship Ministries and Musician of Apopka, Florida until his illness. Arthur was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Pace Ballard who also sang and played the piano; his parents, Robert and Virginia Ballard; siblings Richard Ballard and Dorothy Ballard. Arthur transitioned this life for his heavenly home with Christ Jesus and the Holy Saints of God on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He leaves to cherish precious memories to: his loving and devoted wife, Sarah Ballard; his loving and dedicated children, Dr. Arthur Robert Ballard II (Rachel) of North Port, Florida; Richard Ballard (DeAngela) of Apopka, Florida, Lavoiris Ballard, US Marine Veteran, Ret., VA; Marquiez Ballard, PAC of North Carolina; Tonya Ballard McCullough, Nurse of Fern Park, Florida and Zenola Ballard-Inegbenebo, BSN of New York City (Monday); his sister, Beatrice Ballard, Pennsylvania; sister-inlaw, Catherine Vinegar, California (Pastor Darnell); uncle, Arthur Boyd of New Jersey; grandchildren, Minister Ontavius McCullough (Jasmyne); Stephon McCullough, US Air Force (Stephanie); Richard Ballard I, Justin Ballard, MaKenzie Ballard, Leah Ballard, Arthur Robert Ballard III; Caleb Nathaniel Ballard; great-grandchild, Jordan McCullough; a host of nieces, nephews, Living Waters Community Fellowship Ministries; a caring and loving church family; a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
