Aniefiok Akpan James

Reflections of Life Aniefiok Akpan James Aniefiok was born on April 23,1992 in Orlando Florida to Akpan James and Sharon Smith. Growing up Aniefiok was called “Jr” by his parents and “Bug” by his family and friends. Jr. attended Orange County Public schools; where he graduated with his diploma at Sheeler High School. Jr. went on to work at Publix in 2008 and later for The City of Ocoee. In 2011, he met his then girlfriend Dorothy (daughter Bra’Niya). The couple married in 2015 and in the same year welcomed their baby girl London James. Soon after a son, Anecion, was welcomed. Bug was full of life, joy and laughter. He made all of those around him laugh as he would play and crack jokes. He taught his daughter London how to ride her scooter, feed herself, watch out for her little brother and “not to talk to boys”. His son that he loved dearly, he spent as much time as possible with him. Aniefiok A. James (JR) was called home on March 11, 2020 at Advent Health Apopka. Although his journey here on earth was short as we know it, it was filled with his wife, children and family. Aniefiok was an earthy appointed angel of God but only for a season. God called him home to utilize a greater place that God had prepared for him. Aniefiok was preceded in death by his brother Nikki J. Smith Sr., grandparents, Earnest Huntley and Helen Huntley. Aniefiok leaves to mourn his passing and cherished memories to his devoted wife: Dorothy James (Danielle) of Orlando Florida; his children: Bra’Niya Pinkney, London James and Anecion James; father: Akpan James; mother: Sharon James of Orlando, Florida; brothers: Daquan Smith Sr. (Eboni) of Orlando, Florida, Idoreyin Ruffin of Orlando, Florida, Brentton James of Orlando, Florida, Trentton James of Orlando Florida; sisters: Desheka Smith of Orlando Florida, Tshwanda Smith of Apopka, Florida, Precious Huntley of Orlando Florida; pecial grandmother: Dorothy Madison of Orlando, Florida; mother-in -law: Linda Harswell of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; special nephew: Dasharious Smith of Orlando, Florida; special niece: Bryana Smith of Apopka, Florida; special cousin: Alexandra Roberson of Orlando Florida; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sorrowing family and friends, of all who joined the family in sharing his grief caused by his departure. As we say our good-byes here, they celebrate in Heaven. A dearly loved one is welcomed home. I know that Aniefiok (JR), is smiling over his family. As he always had done.
