Alvin Laverne Manning

Alvin L. Manning was born to parents, Hattie and Isaac “Buddy” Manning on July 4, 1959 in Kissimmee, Florida. Alvin was educated in the Osceola County Public School system. He attended Osceola High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was also an avid fan of “Kowboys” football. He looked forward to football season and would attend as many games as possible. He was also a longtime fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Alvin enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies were working on cars, grilling, fishing, mowing lawns, cruising, and spending time with family and friends. Alvin retired from Tupperware in 2015 after more than 27 years. He enjoyed working in various departments such as Building Facilities Maintenance and the Convention Center where he enjoyed “Jubilee” time. He was able to travel for business with his trip to Las Vegas being the most memorable. He also had the opportunity to work with his brother-inlaw, Lincoln in sod during his early years. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents: Hattie and Isaac “Buddy” Manning; and Siblings Luvenia Walker, Leroy Manning, and Earlie Manning. Alvin leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Selina R. Manning of Orlando, Florida; 3 Sons: Alvin L. Green and Cornelius D. Baker, both of Kissimmee, Florida, and Jusice A. Manning of Orlando, Florida; Brothers: Isaac Manning, Jr. and Melvin Manning, both of Kissimmee, Florida, Karl T. Manning, Sr. of Sanford, Florida, and Lee Manning (Debbie) of Sebring, Florida; Sisters: Robbye Lewis (Steve) of Ohio, Earlene Wheeler (Lincoln) of Poinciana, Florida, and Gilberta Watson and Anita F. Manning, both of Kissimmee, Florida; Brother-in-law, Ezekiel L. Griffin, Jr. (Donna) of Kissimmee, Florida; Grandchildren: Tyshira Baker, Cornelius Baker, Jr., Maleek Green, and Venice Wilson; Aunt, Constance Amic of Miami, Florida; Godchildren: Jazmyne D. Williams and Joshua L. Green; Godsister, Hattie Green, Parents-in-law, Ezekiel L. Griffin, Sr. (Roger); Honorary Brother, Henry Hitley; Special Friends: John Murphy, John Bailey, and Pedro “Neighbor” Santiago; and a host of honorary grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special expression of gratitude to his loving sister, Gilberta Watson and friend, Felicia Alexander.
