Alice Faye Haskell James

Alice Faye Haskell James was born February 17, 1941 in Winter Garden, Florida to Lilla Mae Bouler and Albert Zackery and lived there for most of her life. She was the first grandchild of William and Carrie Bouler of Winter Garden, Florida. As a young teenager, she lived with her uncle and aunt, William and Mary Bouler in Chicago and was raised with her cousins, Harold, Preston, Billy Richard, Roxanne, and Michael. She returned to Winter Garden, Florida where she graduated from Drew High School, class of 1958. Alice Faye accepted the Lord as her Personal Savior at an early age, under the leadership of the late Reverend F. E. Wilder of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was an original and loyal member of Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial Choir, whose mission was to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through song. Alice Faye married and started a family with Carl James where they purchased a home on Maxey Drive in Winter Garden. She loved dancing and listening to music and she and Carl were known to have thrown a party or two. She was a good mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend who was well-known throughout the community. Alice Faye loved to travel. She moved away to Pittsburg for a short stay but returned to her home in Florida. Later, Alice Faye and Carl moved to Rochester, New York, where they purchased a home. There, Faye landed a job at Strong Memorial Hospital. Eventually, they returned to Winter Garden and settled back on Maxey Drive. Alice Faye retired from the Quality Health Care Center in Winter Garden and moved to Orlando, where she lived until the Lord called her home. Alice Faye is pre-deceased by her father, Albert Zackery; mother, Lilla Mae Bouler; sister Carol Siplin; brothers: Vance “Trouble” Haskell and Albert Zackery Jr.; son, Warren, and daughters, Tara and Kimberly. She leaves to cherish her memories Children: Melanie Johnson (Earl) of Apopka, Florida; Vicki Davis (Mark) and Wayne James, both of Orlando Florida; Michael James (Melissa), Apopka, Florida; Brother: Reginald Haskell and Marion Zackery (Wanda) of Winter Garden, Florida; Stepbrother: James Cherry Jr. (Bernice), Orlando, Florida; Sister-in-Law: Theresa Haskell of Orlando, Florida; Former Husband and Caregiver: Carl James of Winter Garden, Florida; Grandchildren: Devin Jefferson of Apopka, Florida; Markia Deering (Derrick) of Deltona, Florida; Mark Davis Jr. and Brianna Davis, both of Orlando, Florida; Verbrena James and Zipporah Stevens, both of Orange City, Florida; Katherine Hunter of Orlando, Florida; Jamarkcus James of Winter Garden, FL; Six Great-Grandchildren; Two Great-Great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
