Tommy Reddick Sanders, Jr.

Tommy Reddick Sanders, Jr. was born in Hamilton North Carolina, Martin County, on September 15th 1942 to the late Thomas Reddick Sanders and Vernell Emma Hyman Sanders. Tommy attend the Martin County school and later joined the United States Navy stationed in Virginia Beach. Upon leaving the Navy, in 1966 Tommy relocated to New Brunswick New Jersey and started his career as a Warehouse Supervisor at Morrison Steel Corporation . Tommy started his life in New Jersey where he fathered his oldest daughter Tanya Sanders in 1964, and then his first son Tom Wright in 1972. In 1980, Tommy met the love of his life Marcella Shirley Ann Jackson. Tommy and Marcella were joined in holy matrimony on April 1st 1980. To their union, on September 17th 1980, the Lord blessed them with a daughter name Courtney Sanders. He was a loving husband and father who worked hard to provide for the needs of his family. In 1982 Tommy and his family relocated to Miami Florida where he pursue his entrepreneurial dream and established and operated Tommy’s Old Fashion Car Wash for 10 plus years and later retired to spend quality time with his family. In his personal time, Tommy loved watching sports, showing his cooking skills and making his best soul food recipes. On Thursday May 5, 2022, the Lord called his son, Thomas R. Sanders from his earthly tabernacle to a house not made with hands, internal in the heavens. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, children, grand children and great grand children, family and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his Parents; Thomas Reddick Sanders and Vernell Emma Hyman Sanders; Brothers: James Sanders, Erwin Sanders and Howard Sanders; Sisters: Joyce Sanders and Oyodell Sanders He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife: Marcella Shirley Ann Sanders of Orlando, Florida; Two Daughters: Tanya Sanders-Johnson (Rickey) of Orlando Florida and Courtney SandersMunroe (Lemmon) of Kissimmee Florida; Two Sons: Tom Wright of North Brunswick, New Jersey and Zaraca Jackson of North Brunswick, New Jersey; Sister: Peggy Saunders (Virgil ) of Dayton, New Jersey; Grandchildren: Shatoya Sanders, Nyisha Sanders, Jordan Munroe, Sidney Munroe and Xavier Wright; Great Grand Children: Isaiah Sanders, Iyanna Sanders and Israeli Green; Three Nephews: Shakime Boykin, Thomas Boykin and Antonio Boykin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
