John Randall Baker

John Randall Baker was born on September 20, 1964 to John Williams Baker, Jr. and Marcella Johnson Matherson in Orlando, Florida. John attended the Orange County Public Schools, where he graduated from Apopka High School in 1983. During his early childhood years, John attended St. James A.M.E. Church. He pursued a career in the line of Lawn Care work for 20 years. John was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth Community he enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, son and uncle. John enjoyed living life to the fullest, he was passionate about sports and was a legend on the grill. He will forever be remembered for the gifts and treasured memories he left. John was preceded in death by his father, John William Baker, Jr., brother, David E. Johnson, grandmothers, Lillie M. Johnson, Vera Quintas Bownes, grandfather, John William Baker, Sr. and auntie, Irene Lang. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Marcella Johnson Matherson (Winston) of Plymouth, Florida; life partner, Rosie Montgomery of Leesburg, Florida; son, John Baker of Apopka, Florida; raised as a son, Trydtan McCoy of Leesburg, Florida; godson, Tony Hines of Plymouth, Florida; daughter, Alexandria Harmon of Cordele, Georgia; raised as daughters, Journey and Justice Boyd of Leesburg, Florida; grandfather, John Henry Johnson of Rochester, New York; five sisters, Sheila Walker (Alonzo) of Crescent City, Florida, Karen Baker of Plymouth. Florida, Takeyla Baker, Jonnette Baker and Phyllis Moss all of Apopka, Florida; god -sister, Velvet Anderson (Dexter) of Waynesboro, Georgia; two brothers, John Tyrone Baker of Apopka, Florida and Johnathan Tyjan Jones of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren, Izay’sha Beckett and John Lanard Baker, Jr. of Douglas, Georgia; three uncles, John Henry Johnson (Merle), Wilfred Sanchez (Pamela) of Apopka, Florida and Anthony Bownes of Newark, New Jersey; six aunts: Catherine Johnson, Carolyn Johnson and Johnnie Mae Cherry, all of Plymouth, Florida, Mildred Thomas (John) of Wichita, Texas, Margaret Dunbar (Charles) of Newark, New Jersey, Marjorie Hepburn (John) of Palm Bay, Florida; childhood friend, Anthony Hines and Michael Jackson and Vincent Chamber; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and grieving friends who will miss him dearly.
